The Connection Between Our Teeth, Oral Health & Disease
Well, this Thursday, November 17th at 8 p.m. (time.gov), I have the pleasure of discussing the question “How Can Oral Health Save Lives?” with Dr. Dan Sindelar.
Dr. Dan Sindelar is a practicing dentist and a leading national advocate for examining the link between oral and heart health. He is one of just a handful of dentists who is certified in the Bale/Doneen Preceptorship Course in Heart Attack, Stroke and Diabetes Prevention. He is co-founder of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, and the author of a new book, “Refresh Life,” available online.
I look in patient’s mouths everyday….and sometimes it’s an absolute disaster. It’s a train wreck. So, listen in and learn how “your mouth” is affecting “your health”.

Here are a few of the questions we’ll be discussing:
- Why should everyone be brushing and flossing twice a day?
- If we’re going to the dentist once or twice a year, why isn’t that enough?
- Many dentists already have started taking patients’ blood pressure before beginning exams. Is an EKG next? Should it be? Hmmmmm??
- If you could get everyone to change just one behavior related to their oral health, what would it be?
